What we send

SlotChef is an online booking platform for hair salons and barbershops. Customers who book an appointment receive SMS about that booking: a 15-minute reservation notice with a personal confirmation link, the booking confirmation, an appointment reminder and – if they joined a waitlist – a notice when a slot opens. Promotional offers from the salon are sent only with a separate, optional consent. Every message starts with "SlotChef".

How customers opt in

On the salon booking page (example: slotchef.io/b/studio-locke?lang=en) the customer chooses a service and time, enters name and mobile number and sees these two checkboxes. Both are unticked by default:

Booking confirmation and reminder by SMS (required). Message frequency varies (usually 2-4 per appointment). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.(must be ticked to book)Offers, birthday wishes and news by SMS (optional, not a condition of booking, revocable anytime)

Marketing consent is never required to book. Each consent is stored with type, timestamp and IP address.

Program details

Reply HELP (or INFO) for help. You can also email slotchef@proton.me.
Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to opt out. You get one confirmation and no further messages of any kind.
Reply START or UNSTOP to opt in again.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
